THE ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR CENTRE
Over the past few decades, the incidence of pet ownership has risen worldwide, with animals becoming increasingly recognised not only for their utilitarian qualities, but also as pets and invaluable companions in our homes and within our families.
As the popularity of pets has grown, this has prompted further research into the science of animal behaviour and psychology. The Animal Behaviour Centre was founded in 1979 by Dr Roger Mugford, an internationally renowned animal psychologist, and has become the UK's leading centre for the treatment of behaviour problems in pets. We treat a variety of domestic animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and rodents. These problems can cover a diverse array of situations, including:
Dr Mugford and his colleagues only employ humane methods of conditioning and control, based on extensive research and a thorough understanding and assessment of the individual pet's needs. We also offer a range of other services including pet dog training and legal representation. Please use the links on the left to find out more about these services. The Animal Behaviour Centre is situated on a working farm near Chertsey, in Surrey. We have both indoor and outdoor secure areas, and a range of 'stooge' farm animals (such as cattle, sheep and chickens), dogs, and staff members who will assist in any way possible! Ample free parking is available on site. Please use the links on the left to find out more about our services.
