Assistant trainers
We do occasionally take on assistants to help our current trainers at the centre. This gives the assistant the chance to learn and develop their own handling skills and teaching ability before possibly starting out on their own. Successful assistants will always be given priority for any future, suitable positions that become available. Assistant trainer positions are entirely voluntary. Due to the high number of applicants, preference will be given to those with some current dog training experience. If you would like to be considered as an assistant then please email your current details and experience to sarah.godfrey@companyofanimals.co.uk titling your message 'Assistant trainers'.
Starting a career in behaviour or training
There are now a huge number of courses available in the study of behaviour and training. Unfortunately we cannot advise on these as it is impossible to monitor them all. Good contacts for finding details of courses are; www.apdt.co.uk www.apbc.co.uk www.asab.nottingham.ac.uk www.cabtsg.org www.soton.ac.uk www.sparsholt.ac.uk
Behaviour and training courses
At present we do not run training courses for individuals who wish to become involved in training and/or behaviour but this is something we are interested in offering in the future. If you would like to be added to the contact list for any future courses then please email karen.hill@companyofanimals.co.uk titling your message .contact list for cpd days..
Individual workshops/training days
At the Animal Behaviour Centre, we are always looking for ways to expand our range of services. If you are a suitably qualified individual who can run a workshop/training day that you feel may be of interest to us then please contact behaviour@companyofanimals.co.uk titling your message 'workshop suggestions'. Please note that training methods used will have to conform to our own ethic of reward - based training.

Please do bear in mind however that we do get booked up a long time in advance. Please email karen.hill@companyofanimals.co.uk and title your message 'seeing practice'.
