The Perfect Dog by Dr. Roger Mugford

Dr. Roger Mugford debunks the myths surrounding dog care in this radical new book that reacts to many modern canine theories.

The Perfect Dog explains how your dog is unique and how you can care for your pet in a simple, organic and rewarding way. He explains that it's OK to treat your dog as a child and that it isn't the ancestor of a wolf, so you don't need to assume the role of pack leader.

With a clear and simple structure that is suitable for both first time and experienced dog owners, Dr. Mugford breaks down many modern ideas about dogs and offers a better way.

The Perfect Dog is a revolutionary new approach to dog care from the UK's most respected dog behaviourist and expert animal psychologist. He teaches you how to have a rewarding relationship with your dog based on good behaviour and mutual love, instead of dominance. It also provides you with a practical instruction on the best way to train and raise a happy and healthy dog, based on the most recent research and Dr. Mugford's own tried and tested methods. Forget what you've read and seen about dog care, The Mugford Method is the new and definitive approach to raising your pet.
