"Blue" to be returned on the Index

Dr Mugford carried out a breed assessment of Blue on 12th April, after which he concluded that the dog was in fact of the type known as the Pit Bull Terrier.  Following an assessment of Blue's behaviour around other dogs and people, Dr Mugford recommended that Blue be returned to his owner on the Index of Exempted Dogs as he did not feel he would present any danger to the public and was a lovely friendly dog. The case was heard before Chelmsford Crown Court on 16th April where it was agreed that Blue could go home.

Registration on the Index of Exemted Dogs requires that dogs be microchipped, tattooed, neutered, muzzled and on a lead when in public places and be covered by 3rd party insurance.
