Behaviour consultations at the Centre have the benefit of providing an environment where your dog's behaviour can be assessed within a number of managed situations. For example, if your dog has a problem with other dogs then we have "stooge" dogs belonging to staff that can be responsibly introduced. This gives the behaviourist an opportunity to observe your dog's reaction and look at ways of managing the behaviour.
Behaviour consultation at home for dog
There are a range of situations where it might be beneficial for the behaviourist to observe your dog's behaviour at home. This could be connected to separation anxiety, guarding, behaviour with people in the home or visiting. The behaviourist will observe some of these behaviours and make recommendations on how to manage them.
New Rescue Dog Home Visit
One of our trainers will come to your home to advise on all aspects of living with your new friend from toilet training, appropriate handling and basic training. This may also include introductions to other pets or interactions with children.
These individual sessions can last 1-2 hours and are invaluable for helping your dog settle into his new environment and teaching you how to interpret his behaviour.
